As full service eye care professionals we offer primary eye care, comprehensive ophthalmology services including surgery, and a full range of testing services. Additionally, we can meet all of your needs for contact lenses, and our optical shops can meet all your glasses needs.
John LaTona, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. LaTona completed his Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University. He furthered his education receiving his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology Biophysics from the Chicago Medical School. Dr. LaTona then completed his Internship at the University of California Los Angeles and his Ophthalmology Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. LaTona is a Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon as well as the owner and CEO of Community Eye Care of Indiana, Inc. He specializes in cataract and glaucoma surgery, diabetes eye care, dry eye, and comprehensive eye care. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Indianapolis Medical Society, and the Indiana State Medical Association and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Thierry Wilbrandt, M.D.
Thierry Wilbrandt, M.D. earned his doctor of medicine degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and also holds degrees from Indiana University (Bloomington) and DePauw University. He has been a board certified ophthalmologist for nearly 20 years and holds society memberships from the Indiana Ophthalmological Society, the AMA, The American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Richard Kautzman, O.D.
Dr. Kautzman completed his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry at Indiana University. He has been a licensed therapeutic optometrist in practice for over 25 years and grew up here in Indianapolis. Additionally, he furthered his training through an externship at Ft. Campbell Kentucky Eye Clinic. Dr. Kautzman is a charter member of the National Academy of Sports Vision and a member of the Better Vision Institute.
He specializes in contact lens fitting as well as comprehensive eye examinations. His contact lens practice encompasses all types from continuous wear and disposable, to toric lenses for astigmatism and bifocal lenses. Additionally he does gas permeable rigid contact lens fits.
Richard Kautzman, O.D. is available for new patients at our North location.
Alma Noreika, O.D.
Alma Noreika, O.D. earned a Bachelor of Optometry and Doctor of Optometry at Indiana University and has more than 25 years experience in comprehensive eye care. Dr. Noreika grew up in northern Indiana and is of Lithuanian heritage, speaks fluent Lithuanian, and remains active in the community. Among her goals at Community Eye Care are enhancing her skills in medical optometry, including dry eye, macular degeneration, and postoperative cataract care.

Matthew Burkart, O.D.
Dr. Burkart earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Optometry degrees from Indiana University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Anderson University. During his time in optometry school, he was a member of VOSH and took part in two mission trips to Mexico, providing much needed eye care to rural residents. Throughout his career, he has practiced comprehensive eye care with a medical focus. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association. Dr. Burkart was born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana. Being a native Hoosier, one of his passions is Indiana Basketball. When he is not seeing patients, he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters.
